8K large format documentary and immersive filmmaking

Maxwel Hohn creates visual experiences designed to surround audiences. His cinematography work includes IMAX and giant-screen wildlife films, immersive 360° and 180° productions, VR experiences, and some of the world’s most ambitious attractions. He has contributed aerial and underwater cinematography to FlyOver Canada, created underwater visual sequences for the Las Vegas Sphere, and filmed for SeaWorld’s Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice, alongside a range of other immersive and large-format productions.

Maxwel has the technical knowledge, specialist equipment and creative experience to meet the specific requirements of large-format cinematography, from achieving edge-to-edge sharpness and maintaining image quality across an enormous field of view to understanding how composition, camera movement, depth and perspective translate onto giant screens and immersive environments.

With RED Raptor VV 8K underwater systems, DJI Inspire 3 8K aerial platforms and a range of specialist camera and underwater equipment, Maxwel has the tools to capture exceptional imagery in challenging environments. His skill as a commercial and technical diver allows him to take these systems into places that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to film.
