Working with River Road Films, the production company behind "Island of the Sea Wolves," has been an absolute pleasure. Their dedication to telling compelling stories and capturing the beauty of the natural world is truly inspiring. As we worked together to unravel the mysteries of many animal subjects, we also forged strong bonds with the team members, united by our shared passion for wildlife and filmmaking.

During the year of filming, I had the opportunity to work on 12 shoots, each offering unique challenges and experiences. These shoots took us to some of the most remote and rugged locations in the Pacific Northwest, immersing us in the extraordinary world that is only moments away from where I live. I had the privilege of filming incredible wildlife, such as sea otters, black bears, salmon, marmots and eagles and more. I also captured the FPV (first-person view) drone opening shots for the series, which showcase the stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.

These elusive creatures are known for their incredible swimming skills and unique diet, which predominantly consists of marine life. Our Emmy-nominated series offers viewers a never-before-seen glimpse into the sea wolves' lives, revealing their intricate behaviors and the complex relationships within the pack.

The awesome cinematography, a testament to the hard work and perseverance of the crew, highlights the raw beauty of the landscape and its inhabitants. We faced numerous challenges while filming in the wild, but our determination to capture the variety of species in their natural habitat paid off. The series showcases many wildlife species that inhabitant Vancouver Island as they navigate the harsh terrain, hunt for food, and interact with one another, providing an unparalleled look at these magnificent animals.

One of the most rewarding aspects of working on "Island of the Sea Wolves" was the opportunity to combine scientific research and powerful storytelling to create an engaging and educational experience.
